Latest tenant for grade A block

Cafe Klaris signs up for Edinburgh’s Atria One

Atria One ExchangeCafe Klaris is the latest tenant to move into the Atria One office development in the heart of Edinburgh’s Exchange district.

The sandwich and coffee operator has taken 893 sq ft of space on the ground level of the grade A block in Morrison Street on a 15 year FRI lease.

Café Klaris is the second café-style outlet run by proprietor Marcos Alvarez who also runs Waka Café on North Castle Street.

Councillor Frank Ross, economy convener at the City of Edinburgh Council, said:  “It is great news that Café Klaris is joining the exceptionally strong mix of occupiers at Atria Edinburgh.

“It is the first café operator to sign up so I am sure it will be a welcome offering, both for the existing tenants and the neighbouring community, alongside the Co-operative convenience store when it opens.”

The Co-operative Group was the first retail occupier announced for Atria Edinburgh and is due to open this month.

The building is also home to PwC, Brewin Dolphin, Aon, IBM and the Green Investment Bank and is one of the most sustainable and energy efficient properties in Edinburgh.

Mr Alvarez said:  “We are very excited to be launching our new café outlet in Atria Edinburgh.  The striking building was a clear choice for us given its location in the Exchange and its close proximity to main retail thoroughfares.  We can’t wait to get started on our fit out plans.”

Both the City of Edinburgh Council and Café Klaris Limted represented themselves.
