Donaldson takes top catering prize
The ever improving quality of food at Scottish banqueting and events venues was recognised and celebrated at a ceremony in Glasgow.
Derek Donaldson of Hilton Glasgow was named the winner in the Catering Excellence Awards (click on photo to enlarge).
Also nominated were Craig Gibb of The Orde Food Company, and Bran Jankovic of Saltire Hospitality.
Matthew Brown, regional director ASA Recruitment, said: “Derek showed invention, creativity and freshness in the menus offered to his guests whilst running very well organised and highly enjoyable occasions. That this decision was much debated was testimony to the runners up and the improving nature of the category as a whole.”
