Fish firm expands in Scotland

Dobbie’s centres to house aquatics stores

Fish storesAquatic retailer, Fishkeeper Scotland, part of Maidenhead Aquatics, is to invest £250,000 opening two stores in Dobbies Garden Centres in Aberdeen and Dundee. They will hold 5,000 exotic invertebrates and tropical freshwater, marine, coldwater and pond fish from around the world.

Colin Christian, Fishkeeper Scotland regional director, said:  “We have drawn up really exciting plans to hold more fish and products than ever before, stocking many of our exclusive as well as favourite species and brands, including our AquaOak aquariums.”

Fishkeeper Scotland is an independently operated arm of Maidenhead Aquatics, which was set up in 1984. It has 35 employees in Scotland including the addition of five posts at the new stores.
