Deal for Glasgow developer
Bottle entrepreneur sells rights for £1 million
Glasgow entrepreneur Michael Devlin has sold the rights to a bottle he developed for athletes in a deal that could be worth around £1 million.
Mr Devlin has sold the intellectual property rights and patents for the Core 150 range to Tiger Global, which makes the bottles in China.
Athletes use the bottles to carry protein supplements and are designed to allow them to be mixed with water.
Mr Devlin, 38, said about 320,000 bottles have been sold around the world since launch in 2012.
The company has built an income of £400,000 and is trading profitably.
