New recipe for Lanarkshire firm
Scotty serves up first fresh haggis soup
The newly-launched soup has taken its lead from recipes at top restaurants and mixed with Scott’s own ingredients and goes on sale on Monday.
It is produced by the Sword family of Blairlinn in Lanarkshire. The company was founded in 1894 and is still owned and managed by the family.
Michael Jarvis, head of marketing for Scotty Brand, said: “We are delighted to be launching what we believe to be the first fresh haggis soup.
“Inspiration for producing our haggis soup came from the wonderful recipes found in leading restaurants and mixing it with Scotty Brand’s principles of good, honest wholesome food, that makes the most of Scotland’s natural assets. It doesn’t get much more Scottish than this!”
Scotty Brand was first launched in 1948 by Albert Bartlett.
