Scottish Hotel Awards
Roxburghe named Golf Hotel of the Year
It is a welcome accolade for the hotel and sporting estate, near Kelso in the Borders, after it recently suffered fire damage.
The hotel, which is now home to Chez Roux restaurant, founded by legendary Chef Albert Roux, is set in 200 acres of parkland and is part of the ancestral estate of the Duke of Roxburghe.
David Robertson, general manager, said: “As Scotland is the home of Golf, it is great recognition for the hotel and course as we help prove the value of such a global sport.
“We have some additional developments planned this year to further improve the visitor experience. These awards really highlight that we are on the right tracks.”
Aside from winning the national award, the hotel scooped two regional awards – Golf Hotel of the Year and Country House Hotel of the Year.
The Roxburghe is managed by ICMI, a bespoke hotel management and consulting company.
