JLL lets Gyle space for expanding Acoura

Craig Watson JLLThe Acoura group has acquired office space in the west of Edinburgh, capitalising on competitive lease terms in the area.

The firm, which certifies farms, food processors and food related companies on behalf of a range of businesses and public sector bodies, has signed a seven year lease agreement with landlord Prudential Assurance for 4,854 sq ft of office space at 6 Redheughs Rigg, South Gyle. The deal, which was agreed at an undisclosed rental price, includes 14 car parking spaces.

Acoura is the UK’s fastest growing provider of risk services for the food and drink supply chain and operaties in 28 countries.

JLL acted on behalf of Acoura. Prudential Assurance were represented by Savills and CBRE.

Craig Watson (pictured), director for JLL in Scotland, said: “The dynamic for letting activity in west Edinburgh remains strong, with occupiers considering peripheral and traditional business park locations in the absence of larger city centre supply.

“There is a wide range of choice for occupiers in the area, particularly outwith Edinburgh Park, and Acoura have capitlaised on this opportunity to secure competitive lease terms in order to improve the working environment for their staff and in turn secure their future growth plans.”

Paul Egan, Chairman of Acoura, said: “The move has already been positive, with our staff much better able to interact and work together to help our customers. The extra space also ensures we have a modern base in the capital which has room for us to further strengthen our team in the coming years.”
