Food and drink: new wine
Brad and Angelina’s wine on sale at M&S
A-listers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have added another string to their list of non-movie making activities. Wine from their French vineyard has gone on sale in a British supermarket for the first time.
Marks & Spencer is stocking a limited supply of the 2014 Miraval Rose and the wine critics love it.
The £18-a-bottle wine is produced at the couple’s Chateau Miraval estate, where they married in August last year after buying it for £41million in 2012.
It has been on sale previously though wine merchants but M&S is the first make it available to high street shoppers.
However, there is no certainty that Scottish shoppers will get to taste it. The wine is only on sale in 17 stores nationwide and is not available online.
The couple aren’t that involved with the production of the wine. That task has been handed to the Perrin family who live nearby and are a renowned name in the Rhone Valley region.
