PR man's account of London experience

Blog is a Marathon effort for runner Dave

David Sawyer and runnersPR operator David Sawyer is still recovering from running a creditable 2 hours and 42 minutes in the London Marathon and has written a blog about the whole experience.

It was his sixth marathon but the first time on the championship start.

“Warming up with Kimetto, Kipchoge, and Kipsang was an amazing experience,” he writes.

The former Weber Shandwick veteran, now running (sorry) Zude PR, provides a fascinating insight into how he was feeling throughout the course.

“Ironically, the last 10k was the most enjoyable bit of the race for me,” he says. “I felt strong, I was bouncing along on my toes and my form was good.

“This was my sixth marathon and I’m learning lessons in every one. Next up for me is Berlin in September.”
