Ayrshire firm to boost production
Asda agrees to stock Grant’s new soup range
The contract will see Ayrshire-based Grant’s produce an extra quarter of a million cans each year.
Launching this month, there will be 18 new products, many of which are stocked exclusively with Asda as part of Grant’s new canned soup and ready meal ranges.
Grant’s is also investing in an extensive rebrand campaign, tapping into new food trends in order to appeal to new markets. The rebrand features colourful new packaging designs for all of Grant’s existing products as well as the new ranges and effectively brightens up the shelves of the canned aisles.
Grant’s Foods, established in 1885, is famous for its tinned haggis and now has more than 40 products across several ranges.
Claire Inglis, account marketing manager at Grant’s, said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for Grant’s and it’s fantastic that Asda is supporting our brand. We are constantly coming up with innovative new ideas for meal solutions in a can and we look forward to introducing more flavours in due course.”
Susanna Hassard, Asda’s regional buying manager for Scotland, said: “The Grant’s ranges are premium quality products which are popular with our customers so it’s great to be the first to offer the new flavours.
“Feedback from everyone who has tried them has been incredibly positive so we look forward to working with the business closely and hopefully growing our relationship in the future.”
