Under fire CEO in line for top award
Alliance Trust chief executive Katherine Garrett-Cox may be facing a potential threat to her position, but she is also on the shortlist for this year’s Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year awards.
Rebel shareholders in the Dundee based trust want new faces on the board and at least one has suggested Ms Garrett-Cox should go as a result of its “dismal performance”.
Former director Tim Ingram has told fellow shareholders that the £1.4m a year CEO is overpaid and he is supporting a move to put three nominees on the board when they vote at the annual meeting on 29 April.
The Business Woman of the Year award is announced on 11 May.
