Lindsays unveils changes faces
Douglas Roberts (below) has joined law firm Lindsays as a partner in the corporate team based in Edinburgh.
He specialises in corporate, IP and commercial contract law and is experienced in advising a broad spectrum of clients, including SMEs, family businesses and start-up companies. He has expertise working with businesses in various sectors including technology, energy supply, finance, retail, engineering and property.
It now has 32 partners and 200 staff operating from four offices across Scotland.
Two Senior Associates, Kate Wyatt and Nina Taylor, have been promoted to director in the Employment and Family Law teams respectively.
Ms Wyatt is based in the Dundee office. She joined Lindsays in May 2014 and is a specialist in employment law advising both employers and individuals across a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She works with clients in various sectors and has acted for organisations in the life sciences, higher education and independent schools sector, as well as for charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Ms Taylor is based in the Edinburgh office. She has more than 20 years’ experience within the Family Law sector and is accredited as a specialist in Family Law by The Law Society of Scotland, and is a member of The Family Law Association. Her experience includes advocacy in the Sheriff Court, including Child Welfare Hearings and complex multi-day Proofs, together with Court of Session actions. Nina has a particular interest in child relocation cases and also advises on the financial consequences of separation and divorce.
Lindsays’ Family Law team continues to go from strength to strength with two new Partners, a Senior Associate and an Associate being appointed in the last year across the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee offices. Four of the team are accredited as specialists by The Law Society of Scotland in Child Law, Family Law and Family Mediation, three with dual accreditations.
Alastair Smith (Edinburgh) and Clare Wilson (Glasgow) are promoted to Senior Associates in the Corporate and Technology Group and the Commercial Property teams respectively. Kate Bond (Edinburgh) is promoted to Associate within the Rural and Estates team.
