Scots gin on party list

North Berwick in the limelight at Brit Awards

Taylor Swift twitterThe celebrations have already begun in East Lothian ahead of tonight’s Brit Awards in London.

As reported in Daily Business earlier this month, Husband and wife team Steve and Vivienne Muir from North Berwick will be serving their NB Gin to the 600-strong guest list at the Sony after party after being invited to be the exclusive gin provider for the night.

They whisked 150 bottles to Heron Tower earlier this week in preparation for the bash. The distillery’s mixologist has created two unique cocktails to be served to guests on the night, including the Bees Knees, made with honey and rosemary. Bottles of NB Gin will also be placed on every table, with tasting glasses alongside.

The Sony Party – this year hosted at Sushi Samba – will be as A-list as it gets with all the top names expected to attend.

Among those up for awards are Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Taylor Swift (pictured).

“We’re all ready to go. We’ve even got our glad-rags (including one kilt) packed for the bash. We wish you could all be there too but, alas, you can’t,” said the company in a note ahead of the bash.

“So we’ve got the next best thing – we’ll be live tweeting from the party!”
