Innis & Gunn hires Frank to handle consumer PR

Dougal SharpCraft brewer, Innis & Gunn, has appointed Frank PR to handle its consumer PR, signalling the start of a year-long campaign of activities.

According to the initial press release, the Edinburgh-based company will also be looking to position itself as a “thought leader” within the sector.

Frank has offices in Glasgow, London, Manchester, New York and Sydney.

Andrew Bloch, Frank PR Group managing director, said:  “Innis & Gunn is a fantastic beer brand with a great story. We’re incredibly excited to be working with such an innovative brewer that has truly shaken up their industry. We’ve come on board at a great time, with the brand growing at 40% year on year and we’re certain this partnership has an exciting year ahead.”

Dougal Sharp (pictured), chief executive at Innis & Gunn, said:  “Frank PR immediately got our brand’s unique voice and positioning as well as our vision for the future of the brand.

“We have some really exciting plans in place for 2015 and we are looking forward to taking Innis & Gunn to the next level with the help of Frank PR and their dedicated team.”

As revealed by Daily Business last week, the company is looking for a site to build a brewery to bring production of its beers back to the capital. They are currently brewed at the Tennent’s Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow.
