Cyclist Mark Beaumont joins Livingston James
Mark comes on board as an ambassador and mentor for the Glasgow firm and the Livingston James Group portfolio of brands, which includes Rutherford Cross and Drummond Bridge. He will host a range of employee, client and candidate events, and help the firm achieve its business targets.
The Livingston James team has previously supported Mark’s charitable projects, and is working to help Mark on his latest world record attempt, cycling 10,000km from Cairo to Cape Town.
Mark will set out on 9 April on the ‘Africa Solo’ expedition and aims to complete the route in just 50 days, taking three weeks of the current record. As well as bringing back another coveted world record, Mark is raising funds for the Scottish charity, Orkidstudio, for whom he is patron. Orkidstudio is a humanitarian architecture organisation that benefits children in developing countries.
Jamie Livingston, director of Livingston James Group (pictured left with Mark Beaumont), said; “Having Mark join the Livingston James advisory board is a great addition to our business. As a world record holder, his mentoring and motivational skills are second to none. Mark brings a wealth of experience as a business ambassador and we very much look forward to working with him to achieve our goals.”
Mark said: “My background in endurance expeditions and broadcasting is all about working through hugely ambitious projects and being an effective communicator. I am sure these skills will be add to the great depth of experience that the Livingston James team already have.”
