The Big Partnership has reported a 10% rise in full-year profit from £1.04 million to £1.2m and promoted three employees to the board.
The new directors are: Andrew Baird (pictured centre) who joined its Edinburgh office in 2012 from the Scottish Government; Bryan Garvie, a former Irvine Times reporter; and Sharon Mars, who joined Big from university.
Big, which has five offices in Scotland and England, has recently hired Jessica McAndrew, former head of online marketing at Frame, and Alice Ritchie, ex-search marketing manager at DigitasLBi. They take the headcount to 105, up from 95 the previous yearTurnover for the 12 months to 31 May 2014 grew from £7.1 million to £7.8m.Big director Alex Barr said of current trading: “It’s been our best ever start to the year and we feel the market is definitely moving in our direction, with increasing synergies between content, digital and SEO/pay-per-click opening up real opportunities for clients.
“We have a very stable core of senior people and the latest additions to the board have each played key roles in our continuing growth. In the cases of Bryan and Sharon, who both joined us at a junior level several years ago, these appointments to the board also underline the tangible opportunities we provide for long-term career progression.”
Recent account wins for Big include the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), Scottish Rugby, coffee roaster Matthew Algie, and metal manufacturer and supplier Premier Hytemp.
