Technology spots problems you never knew you had

Doug MoreA growing technology company is pioneering a system that will enable clients to instantly detect problems in their IT systems.

FarrPoint Assure, based in central Edinburgh, says it will monitor software, networks and cloud based systems, keeping a constant measure on performance.

The company, a sister company to IT and telecoms consultancy FarrPoint, has worked with two partners – US multinational technology firm Riverbed and distributor Arrow ECS – to develop AssureAPM, the only one of its kind in the UK.

By constantly monitoring IT systems and identifying the source of problems it claims to help improve performance and the bottom line.

Doug More, a specialist in SME growth, has been appointed chief executive.

He said:  “We can help organisations spot issues with their IT, even before they know they’ve got a problem. This allows them to act promptly, minimising any slow down or disruption to their operations.

Over the past 20 years Mr More has been involved in a range of business ventures , mainly as founder and managing director of Stiell Networks a subsidiary of the EJ Stiell Group.
