Good friends enjoy charity bash
Scots singer Tallia’s Beckham connection
The fashion bloggers were out in force for the opening of the latest pop-up shop in Edinburgh on Friday, but the talk of the evening concerned Scot pop singer Tallia Storm’s friendship with Brooklyn Beckham.
Tallia, 16, who was among the guests, says she and 15-year-old Brooklyn, son of footballer David Beckham, have become good mates and that “they get on really well”. The pair attended a charity event at Cafe Kaizen in London the previous night, along with Tallia’s 17-year-old sister Tessie. Tallia performed in aid of the “Style for Stroke” campaign.
The two girls are the daughters of fashion guru and PR operator Tessa Hartmann who organises the Scottish Fashion Awards and handled Friday’s night’s launch party for the Cambridge Satchel Company in George Street (see interview with founder Julie Deane elsewhere on this site).
Tallia rose to fame at the tender age of 13 when she sent a demo CD to Elton John’s partner David Furnish who was staying at the same hotel in Hawaii where her family was on holiday. She went on to support Elton John in concert in Falkirk and now has a five-album deal with the label behind Emeli Sande, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez.
