10-year project to begin
University seeks design team for £20m project
Edinburgh University is seeking a design team for the £20 million first phase of the Nucleus Hub project, at the heart of the King’s Buildings campus.
The project will include a mix of new and refurbished buildings accommodating central teaching facilities, study areas, catering outlets, gym, retail and a student information centre.
It will be developed in phases over 10 years and the University is looking to appoint an architect led multi-disciplinary design team to produce designs and specifications for the first five-year phase.
This will be a new building that will include teaching facilities, study areas, catering outlets, small retail shells and a student information centre.
The Nucleus ‘Hub’ is seen as a series of buildings representing the ‘beating heart of the campus’.
