No sign of Brexit hit
UK economy grows faster than estimates
Britain’s economy grew more strongly than expected in the third quarter, with few signs of slowing down following June’s Brexit vote.
The economy expanded 0.6% in the three months to September, the Office for National Statistics said today, revised up from an earlier reading of 0.5%.
But growth was revised down by 0.1% in the first and second quarters of the year to 0.3 and 0.6% respectively.
The US economy grew at an annualised 3.5% over the last quarter, faster than earlier estimates of 3.2%, according to the latest data.
