Scott ‘a real coup’ for Livingston James board

karen-scottLivingston James Group has appointed Karen Scott, former managing director of Hudson UK and Ireland, to its board.

Jamie Livingston, a founding director, described it as a “real coup for the group”. 

He said: “Karen brings a wealth of complementary skills and experience to the senior leadership team and is joining to lead the growth of our brands in Scotland, with near-term plans for expansion into key regional centres across the UK.  

“Karen’s reputation with clients, candidates, and colleagues is absolutely second to none and we are thrilled that she is joining us at this pivotal time for the business.”

Ms Scott, a former European and global HR director with Polaroid, and then Damovo, moved into the recruitment sector in 2005 when she joined the NASDAQ listed Hudson.

She ran the Scottish, Ireland & International operation before being appointed as UK and Ireland MD in 2012.

At Hudson, Ms Scott delivered significant year on year growth. A short period consulting with a portfolio of organisations in Scotland followed before shejoined the board of Livingston James Group.

Established in 2010 by Jamie Livingston and Andy Rogerson, the Livingston James Group comprises five specialist brands. The team has grown to 36 in Glasgow and Edinburgh with turnover for 2016 forecast at £6 million.
