Edinburgh art show

Christine Gupta took up painting as a hobby just two years ago and this weekend she stages her first show.

Ms Gupta was encouraged by friends and family to put her work on display and she has created an exhibition of 72 pieces at the Edinburgh Ski Centre in Howe St.

A former model, for some years she has worked with husband Ash in the Gupta Partnership but has become deeply interested in carving out a career in art.

Many of her paintings are of landscapes and people she has met on her travels abroad, but she also has a passion for horses which feature in the collection.

“I have had some great feedback. I really enjoy being able to capture people and places I have visited,” she said.
